It has been a little more than 125 years since Torakusu Yamaha, went out on that fateful reed organ service call. Through out the past 125 years The Yamaha Company has been a huge contributor in shaping the piano industry into what it is today. The recognitions and accolades, innovations and achievements are numerous. In light of this Yamaha is having a celebration marking this great milestone.

Soon after the announcement of Yamaha's 125th anniversary the CX Grand Piano line was introduced. This line of pianos has had incredible reviews and has been well received by artists, music competitions and educational institutions throughout the world. Elton John Performs Worldwide for Yamaha's Anniversary
Now... a great party has great entertainment! Sir Elton John joined Yamaha in celebrating by participating in a concert January 25th at Disneyland's Hyperion Theater. Using Yamaha Disklavier technology, his performance was streamed live over the Internet to remote Disklaviers all over the world. His actual keystrokes were recreated note for note in real time in cities such as Vancouver, Bangkok, London, Paris and Tokyo, among others.
